Literacy for Companionship Inc. (LfC) is a 501(c)3 and was founded in December 2017 by Angela Ihrie. Her passion for reading and love of animals planted the idea for the organization - creating a judgment-free environment for children and animals. The mission of LfC is to empower and educate children through reading. Angie started this mission in hopes to give children an environment to practice their reading skills and build their confidence while showing compassion toward animals. Furthermore, Literacy for Companionship Inc. enables children and animals to come together providing each with the companionship that both desire. The world needs more kindness and LfC is committed to doing its part to educate the next generation.
